On Exhibition Design with SpaceBroth
Join the experimental design studio SpaceBroth and Design Museum Senior Curator Rebecca Lewin to find out about the making of the exhibition REBEL: 30 years of London Fashion.
Exhibition design is a complex form of storytelling: temporary, immersive worlds enrich visitors’ collective experiences, imaginations and understanding.
The experimental design studio SpaceBroth, who work in the realms of performance, interiors, exhibitions and objects, unpack the context and process of exhibition design: the brief development, ideation, discussions, iterations and secrets of the making of REBEL: 30 years of London Fashion. In conversation with the curator Rebecca Lewin, Spacebroth offers a glimpse into how the display came together: the challenges, discoveries and what was left out of the final show.
SpaceBroth was founded by partners Borbala Kovacs and Jack Headford in 2021, following many years of working in a variety of design industries and a close association with artist Es Devlin. SpaceBroth is a platform for rigorous engagement with client and site, which strives to provide the best in ethical and environmentally conscious design.
'Rebel: 30 Years of British Fashion sponsored by Alexander McQueen' is an exhibition in partnership with British Fashion Council celebrating the 30th anniversary of BFC's NEWGEN programme.
