Learning Creative Workshop
Writing in Nature
Join poet and performer Fausta Joly for an afternoon of creative writing at the museum's Dame Sylvia Crowe Garden to produce your own little fictions and poetry inspired by nature.
Creative writing is a powerful tool of self-expression, and nature has historically been an endless source of creative inspiration for people. The garden can be a perfect space for slowing down, meditating, collecting our thoughts and recharging our creative energy.
Try your hand at writing with poet and writer Fausta Joly. Be inspired by the Dame Sylvia Crowe Garden, nature and ecology, with triggers and cues to get your creativity flowing. All are welcome from budding authors to complete novices, and no previous writing experience is necessary.
Please bring your own notebook and pen, other materials and refreshments will be provided.
