Design Museum Academy Adult Workshop
Workshop: Christmas Pewter Casting
Discover how to make small Christmas decorations from pewter using a technique that dates back to the Vikings in this creative workshop led by RubinoWilson studio.
In this hands-on class, experiment with an ancient technique used in Mediterranean countries for centuries.
You will learn to carve your design into a cuttlefish shell and then pour molten metal into a unique mould as well as how to melt, cast, polish and finish your objects.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or those with some experience in metalwork.
All equipment, materials and light refreshments will be provided for the duration of the session.
