Design Ventura
Discover the top ten product ideas created by students aged 13-16 for the Design Museum’s national schools’ competition, Design Ventura.
#DesignVentura
Design Ventura brings the business of design to life for students aged 13-16 by challenging them to develop a new, creative and commercially viable product for the Design Museum Shop. The project is a partnership between the Design Museum and Deutsche Bank’s global youth engagement programme, Born to Be.
Design Ventura 2019 saw over 16,000 students from 300 schools register to take part. This display features the top ten ideas from those participating schools. The winning team will work with professional designers to develop and manufacture their product for sale in the Design Museum Shop in Summer 2020.
As this year marks the 10th anniversary of Design Ventura, the display will also showcase the winning product ideas from the past decade and an interactive area, where you can tackle the Design Ventura brief.
Design Ventura, the Design Museum’s flagship learning project, is an opportunity for students to develop design thinking, creative and business capabilities and employability skills. The project was launched in 2010 in partnership with Deutsche Bank, as part of the bank’s global youth engagement programme, Born to Be.
